Mapping My Personal Journies

Brief
You are to consider how to used a variety of techniques, materials and processes to design ways to communicate aspects of your personal journey or journeys.

There are no limitations to the form of the final outcome for your work.

You must consider four different techniques (typographic, illustrative, data visualisation, photographic, digital, etc.) and present those as separate outcomes, but which all map your personal journey/journeys.
Map 1
This map shows the different seats which I've sat in when I've visited the cinema. The different colours represent different years; the seats which have colour gradients mean I have sat in that seat more than once. This is also represented in the slightly larger size of the seat. The seating plan used accommodates every seat I have sat in between 2005 and 2013.
Map 2
This map represents the films I've seen and the rating I would give for each film, placed on the physical route I would take to get to my local cinema. I've also drawn sketches of scenes I would see along this journey.
Map 3
This typographic map shows all the films I've seen at the cinema, based on the films' genres. The films are ordered in chronological order within each genre, with a different colour representing each genre.
Map 4
This flip book shows how the price of my cinema tickets has fluctuated over the years. I've used a coin stack to show the price for each ticket, with the height of the stack referencing the cost of my ticket. As the book is flipped, it is easy to see how the price has changed and gradually increased over the years.
